Patricia Reith (BA
Hons)
Patricia
(taught by Barbara Ray) has a painterly and expressionistic
style, using exuberant palette knife painting and utilising
impasto oil techniques. Vivid colour combinations are created
with mixed media. The work is not solely about observation
and recording the appearance of the landscape, but also refers
to the abstract use of shape, form, pattern colour and texture.
Much of Patricia's work has been done in situ, in the dramatic
mountains of Andalusia, Northern Morocco and South West Turkey
