Mari French
An
Tuireann Arts Centre, Skye
Painting and Print Award, An Tuireann, Skye
Greenhouse Gallery, Sheffield
Plockton Gallery, Wester Ross
Tore Gallery, Black Isle
After
completing her studies at Stockport College and working as
a professional graphic designer, Mari eventually moved to
the Isle of Skye in 1995 to pursue her main passion as a painter.
Light and atmospherics play a strong part in her finished
pieces, where the build up of complex layers and the exposure
of under-painting all add to the visual intensity experienced
by the viewer.
