Gillian
Pattison
Formally trained at the Byam-Shaw
School of Drawing and Painting, London - and subsequently exposed
to the stark realities of the dramatic and ancient landscapes
of Kishorn - this has all given a depth of experience and noticeable
vigour which Gillian imparts to her canvass.
"I prefer to start painting
on site and explore the hills in all weather. Working fast
to keep the spontaneity I will paint, tear, gouge and add
until I feel I have captured the raw power and excitement
of the scene."

Pamela and Erland Tait
Both BA (hons) Fine
Art, Grays School of Art, Aberdeen
An infusion of Warhol Pop-Art
and Feminist Iconics?
With bold social subjects to draw on, Pamela still maintains
a technically sound balance of patterning and vibrant colour
which gives her work instant visual appeal.
Also trained as a stained glass artist, Erlands working style
slips easily from skilful representational to a Pop-Art format
influenced by or influencing his stained glass techniques.

Maggie Savage
BA (Hons) Design
Galloway
Crafts Guild Award
RSA Bursary Travel Award China and Japan
Originally working in design, Maggie set up a Glasgow based
design practice with fellow graduate Sam Booth in 1990. In
recent years more time has been devoted to Maggie's own professional
art practice, and drawing and painting have become an absorbing
occupation. From the initial sketches to the finished paintings,
drawing is very much in evidence in Maggie's work.
