Originally from Skye most of my childhood memories are of sketching wild life and collecting stones and shells from the shore beneath our house. When I was twelve years old we moved to Inverness and have since stayed in the area having married and brought up a family of three girls.
However I missed my freedom of space and suppressed my creative side until recently, when I returned to study Art for three years at Inverness College in Art and Design 2009, Portfolio course 2010 and recently, completing my studies at H.N.C level.
My art is based around the sea and I enjoy textiles and sculpture by using natural materials such as slate along with printing and painting in different mediums, by responding to these materials and working within their textural content, I hopefully evoke my love for the Highlands.
